Audi Goodwood Monument 2009

Yet another fantastic installation at this year’s Goodwood Festival Of Speed. This year the piece is to commemorate Audis centenary and features a curved section of track with a 2009 R8 V10 and a 1937 Auto Union Streamliner shooting into the ski. Designed by award winning sculptor Gerry Judah (who also did last year’s piece for Land Rover’s 60th anniversary), the structure is 35 metres high, weights 40 tonnes and took 12 men 4 weeks to construct. I have always loved to see what the new installation will be each year and I think this is another fantastic piece of art at the show. I can’t wait to see what is produced next year.
